My name is Claire. It's French; my grandma's name was Dorothy, which is also my middle name, and she was British and hated the French.

Brand New. Weezer cover. El Scorcho. babe,3
mmm.. the combination of two bands that changed my musical life. Weezer was my gateway drug (sorry Luke, the 9 months that CD was missing from your room, it was in my room), and Brand New was like that hot wheels device on the track that when you go through it you hit turbo speed and can go through loops.. anyone remember the commercials for that but me? Good find MLE, my seester
I can ironically say I sleep under Jesse Lacey every night. ( I drew a picture of him my sophomore year of high school and it hangs above my bed. har har har). New album September 22nd. WOOO!!
Being a fan of Brand New Fan since 2000, I can declare that liking this band has made me more appealing to boys (odd.. I know, but whenever I show off my drawing and then tell them who it is of I automatically get googily-eyes in my direction. It’s pretty sweet) and that Brand New is 1 bajazillion times better than Taking Back Sunday. MICS ARE FOR SINGING NOT SWINGING.
I’ve been needing a comment-friendly blog for a while, so I finally solidified the switch.
Before I graduate BYU-Idaho I’m going to take a web designing class; but if it doesn’t suffice I think I will invest some dough into taking a couple of these courses. They’re a bit spendy, but the job market for graphic designers is essentially obsolete without knowledge in web design. They also have a course on Professional Practices for graphic designers, which introduces the class to Portland design firms, which would be a really good foot in the door. honestly… I keep thinking about this and it really just makes sense to add this to the resume. I took a pre-college drawing class there and it was paid for by my H.S. art club. I drew a naked lady, which despite 12-year-old snickering from some of you was a really awesome oppertunity for me at the time.

It’s late… but I will add to this post soon. very very soon. Promise.
**SPOILER ALERT!** I am the most chronically non-photogenic person in Oregon The United States World. And I noticed from the pictures tha I have horrible posture; take my word for it. I’m not posting those.**
Here’s my Macbook Pro’s new home:

I got the idea of leaving the selvage for the flap from a girl who came into the craft warehouse last year; and incidentally she got the idea from an LDS girlscamp where she made the bag.
Anyway. Someday I’ll get really good about sewing and making things and actually do what I’m supposed to; like measure and cut strait, and iron and use appropriately colored thread. But for an evening project that I just wanted done, I’m pretty pleased with this.

Over the past couple of summers I’ve been home I’ve been noticing a lot more deer roaming this part of the Enchanted Forest district. This little guy was hanging out in the sun and thanks to my rockin’ zoom, I went from being 30 feet away to 5 feet away.
Dunkin’ Donut is for chumps.
